Lymphoblastic (non-Hodgkin) lymphoma is a group of similar diseases of the lymphatic system that develop without signs of Hodgkin's disease.
Causes
The causes of lymphoblastic lymphoma are unknown. Presumably influencing factors include the development of infectious diseases in the body and immune system suppression.
Symptoms of Lymphoblastic Lymphoma
The main sign of lymphoblastic lymphoma is the enlargement of cervical, axillary, or groin lymph nodes. These lymph nodes are painless and do not decrease in size over time. Along with the lymph nodes, the liver and spleen enlarge, causing the patient to feel pressure internally in the abdominal area and lower back, neck, and face, as well as difficulties in breathing. General weakness, high fever, gastrointestinal disturbances, increased sweating, and weight loss are also observed.
Diagnosis of Lymphoblastic Lymphoma in Israel
Diagnosing lymphosarcoma is a complex process. In Israel, modern histological methods for examining lymph nodes and tumors, immune system assessment, bone marrow aspiration, and biopsy are used. The patient undergoes radiographic examination, computed tomography, and MRI, which allows for the recognition of disease signs in any part of the body. To date, the most effective method for treating lymphoblastic lymphoma is the use of chemotherapy combined with stem cell transplantation, which aids in hematopoiesis.
Prevention
Unfortunately, to date, there is no developed algorithm of measures capable of preventing the development of lymphoblastic lymphoma in the body.
