Dr. Amir Sold

A surgeon with over thirty years of experience, who has achieved outstanding success in performing minimally invasive surgical procedures (laparoscopic). The doctor began performing minimally invasive surgeries in the early nineties. At that time, such techniques were just starting to be adopted by surgeons around the world.

Amir Sold founded the Department of Endoscopic Surgery at Ichilov Medical Center in 1995, and four years later he created and became the head of the Israeli Association of Endoscopic Surgery. Dr. Sold is not only the chief physician of the surgery department at Ichilov Medical Center, but also a well-known consultant on minimally invasive surgery at the Assuta medical complex.

The doctor's academic work is also widely recognized. In the early 2000s, he began giving lectures on laparoscopic surgery at Tel Aviv University. Over the years of his career, he has published more than eighty of his works, both in national publications and in reputable foreign ones. He is a co-author of a large number of educational literature. By participating in various conferences on surgical issues, he has prepared hundreds of reports. He often leads seminars for the continuing education of physicians and conducts training surgeries.

In addition to his medical practice and academic activities, Sold is involved in many developments in the field of medicine, serving as a consultant for several Israeli medical companies. One of the latest developments he actively participated in is a three-dimensional visualization system.
