The main area of expertise for Elizabeth Naparstek is oncological hematology. Professor Naparstek is considered a recognized expert in the treatment of various types of leukemias, myeloma, and lymphomas. She is involved in bone marrow transplantation as well as cellular cancer immunotherapy.
After graduating from the medical faculty of the Hebrew University, Elizabeth worked in the hematology department of the Hadassah Medical Center. She later became a senior physician in the bone marrow transplantation department. After fourteen years, she took the position of head of the bone marrow transplantation department at Ichilov Clinic. Since 2001, she has been the head of the hematology department at one of the most famous clinics in Israel – Ichilov.
During her career, Professor Naparstek has repeatedly advanced her qualifications:
- 1983-1985 – as a research fellow at the Cancer Institute
- 1991-1992 – internship at the National Institutes of Health.
In the late 90s, Elizabeth was invited as a lecturer at the medical faculty of Stanford University. The professor is the author of about 170 scientific works and articles. Elizabeth Naparstek is a regular participant in international symposia on hematology issues. She is a member of well-known associations such as the Israel Hematology Society, the American Society of Hematology, and others.
Naparstek uses both classical diagnostic methods and treatment approaches, as well as completely new, but well-established ones: stem cell transplantation, biotherapy, immunotherapy.
