Professor Nir GiladiNir Giladi can confidently be considered part of the elite of neurologists. Giladi serves as the head of the neurology department at the Ichilov Medical Center. He received his education by graduating from the medical faculty of Ben-Gurion University. He then completed an internship at the HaEmek clinic in his specialty, at the Carmel Medical Center, and at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. Further internships abroad included Columbia University and the University of Oxford, as well as the Chinese medical complex of the People's Hospital of Northern Jiangsu. While in Israel, Giladi was a family doctor at Beit She'an Hospital. From 1993 for 3 years, he was the head of the Parkinson's disease treatment department at the Carmel Medical Center. Since 1996, he has been leading the movement disorders department at the Tel Aviv Medical Center for 11 years, and after that, he took the position of head of the neurology department at the Ichilov Medical Center. Giladi successfully combines medical practice with teaching. Over different periods, he has taught at the university where he once studied, at the nursing school of the Carmel Medical Center, and at the Technion University. Professor Giladi has published more than two hundred works and articles in national and European publications. He has given over 100 presentations at conferences and congresses. Giladi is a member of the International Movement Disorder Society, serving on the board of directors. For his contributions to medicine, Giladi has been awarded by the Israeli Neurological Association, the Israeli Ministry of Health, and the Sackler School of Medicine.
