Treatment of Pericarditis at the Leading Cardiac Center in Israel
Pericarditis is an inflammatory disease of the pericardium with purulent, fibrinous, serous, or hemorrhagic manifestations.
Pericarditis occurs as a result of viral diseases, myocardial infarction, uremia, infectious bacterial processes such as tuberculosis, collagen diseases, radiation therapy, due to oncological diseases, blunt chest trauma, and heart surgeries. In pericarditis, there may be a need for cardiac tamponade, and constrictive pericarditis may also develop.
Specialists at the Top Ichilov Cardiac Center work closely with the cardiac surgery and oncology departments, allowing for the most comprehensive diagnostic examination and selection of the most effective treatment method for pericarditis.
