Nasopharyngeal Cancer
Clinically, nasopharyngeal cancer is accompanied by nasal and Eustachian tube congestion, purulent bloody nasal discharge, bleeding (nasal), cervical lymphadenopathy, and facial nerve paralysis. If primary cancer is present, radiation therapy is prescribed; in cases of resistant areas to radiation and metastasis to cervical lymph nodes, surgical intervention is indicated, followed by radiation therapy.
Oropharyngeal Cancer
The most common diseases are tonsil cancer and squamous cell carcinomas of the tonsils. In the early stages of the disease, treatment involves radiation therapy; in cases of significant involvement, surgical treatment with excision of the focus is performed, followed by preventive radiation therapy.
