Giving Birth in Israel Has Become Even More Comfortable: A New Maternity Ward Has Opened at Ichilov

Cozy rooms for mothers to stay with their infants and husbands, round-the-clock care from medical staff, and even food on demand – premium services are now available to patients at Ichilov completely free of charge.
The Lis Maternity and Gynecology Center is one of the largest maternity hospitals in Israel. It operates within the progressive Ichilov Medical Center, which places special emphasis on technical equipment and living conditions. The new maternity ward, equipped here thanks to the sponsorship of the Shneinmatz and Grass families, as well as the direct efforts of the clinic's management, has allowed for a qualitatively different level of service for mothers.

Each of the 51 individual rooms is equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable stay of women during the pre- and postnatal periods. They feature modern adjustable beds, sleeping areas for relatives, private bathrooms, televisions, and furniture for feeding and caring for the infant. Special needs of mothers were also taken into account when organizing meals. Depending on the woman's personal preferences and medical indications, an individual menu is created for her, and food is delivered directly to the room.
The director of the Lis Center, Professor Yariv Yogev, also noted that patients can take advantage of a range of additional services. These include prenatal instruction, assistance during natural childbirth, and postnatal monitoring by the clinic's top specialists. The medical staff and personnel of the center provide round-the-clock care for both mothers and newborns, making their stay in the center as comfortable as possible, while the joy of women from motherhood remains unclouded by household issues.
