He studied medicine at the Second Moscow Medical Institute. After obtaining the title of professor, he headed the department of kidney and cardiovascular transplantation at the Academy of Sciences.

In Israel, Dr. Chifrin also defended his professorship, took the position of head of the vascular surgery department at Ichilov Hospital. For several years, he chaired the Israeli Society of Vascular Surgery and led the vascular surgery department at Assuta Hospital.
The professor has extensive clinical experience in all areas of vascular surgery.
This includes surgeries on cervical arteries and abdominal aorta, treatment of leg ulcers, and coronary vessel bypass surgery. Professor Chifrin has shared his knowledge with hundreds of trainees, many of whom are now leading specialists in the field of vascular surgery and even head corresponding departments.
The first textbook on vascular surgery in Israel was published, authored by Eduard Chifrin. He has also published over 200 articles, patented more than 60 inventions in the field of vascular surgery, and collaborated with American specialists in writing books on research in carotid artery surgery and other vessels.
