Often, doctors in the CIS countries fail to accurately diagnose acute and chronic pancreatitis. As a result, patients may experience discomfort and pain for years, and they will be treated for the wrong condition. This is the main difference in gastroenterological treatment at Top Ihilov: here, an accurate diagnosis is made within days, and the most effective treatment strategy is developed, allowing for a quick resolution of all unpleasant sensations.

Accurate Diagnosis of Pancreatitis in 3 Days
Pancreatitis often arises due to poor nutrition, excessive consumption of spicy, fatty, or fried foods, frequent alcohol consumption, stress, and also as a result of diseases of the digestive tract (cholecystitis, ulcer diseases, intestinal diseases, liver diseases, formation of stones in the duct of the gland, etc.)
First Day - Consultation with a Gastroenterologist
The patient arriving at the clinic is immediately referred for a preliminary examination by a leading Israeli gastroenterologist. The doctor studies the medical history, collects the anamnesis, and develops a preliminary diagnostic program.
Second Day - Diagnosis
At Top Ihilov, the following are performed:
- ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - one of the most informative diagnostic procedures when pancreatitis is suspected. This is an endoscopic examination performed under sedative anesthesia and lasts only 30 minutes. During the procedure, a flexible endoscope is inserted into the patient's mouth and advanced to the stomach and duodenum. The patient feels no discomfort due to anesthesia and a special substance sprayed in the mouth. The procedure is often combined with X-ray, during which a contrast agent is administered.
- EUS - this is another modern endoscopic procedure for gastrointestinal diseases, performed using ultrasound, it also lasts 30 minutes and is completely painless.
- Specialized blood tests
Often, Top Ihilov doctors have to perform additional tests for patients from abroad, even though they bring or send in advance the test results obtained in their home country. Unfortunately, the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases in the former CIS countries is not accurate. In many cases, patients arrive for treatment in Israel after undergoing a course of incorrect treatment based on inaccurate diagnoses.
Third Day - Treatment Plan
The results of the tests are provided to an expert group consisting of world-class gastroenterologists. The group is assembled individually for each patient, and its task is to develop a comprehensive treatment program and monitor its implementation.
